Something To Think About
Something To Think About

Although my son Tim can carry a tune nicely today, when he was a toddler he used to stand beside me on the bench at church and sing off key at the top of his lungs, until one day he realized people were laughing at him.  He never sang out again.

We often laugh because children are for a short time uninhibited and do things that are cute.  In our enjoyment we must remember that children have feelings and may not understand our laughter.  Let's make certain we are always aware of the feelings of the little people.

This is important to remember.  My daugther Rebekah loves to sing hymnes all the time, but if she thinks you are laughing at her she gets really upset.  We were in public the other day and she had to use the restroom.  Well when we went in we were the only one's in there. Well she started singing and mommy was enjoying it but another lady came in and Bekah didn't realize it.  I quickly thought I hope the lady doesn't say anything to hurt her feelings, or embrass her.  Praise the Lord when Bekah came out she told her that her music was beautiful! :) BIG SIGH OF RELIEF!!!!! After Bekah went out of the bathroom...I poked my head back into the bathroom and thanked the lady quietly for her comment and being so kind.
